Sun Damaged Skin London

The cumulative effects of exposure from the sun can cause cellular damage such as, early wrinkling, age spots, actinic keratoses and skin cancer - including melanoma, the most serious type.

At The Moll Clinic beauty salon we use laser technology or microdermabrasion to repair sun damaged skin. Laser abrasion has been used over the last decade with quite significant results. The laser essentially vaporises the skin away in very thin layers, and as it produces less heat damage than other treatments, there is less layer damage and a faster recovery.

Non abrasive laser surgery is a new development in the treatment of photo damage. This procedure involves the use of a broad-spectrum intense pulse light or laser, which is used repeatedly on the skin. This heats the dermis and encourages collagen production. It can also minimize some of the redness from broken blood vessels and diminish the hyper-pigmentation, which may be a consequence of photo damage.

Cosmetic tattooing can also be used to remove sun damaged skin by injecting naturally coloured pigments into the skin removing age and blood spots and freckles caused by sun over exposure.

The above treatments are effective and virtually pain free and have no recovery or downtime after the treatment.
